Dublin Prison Solidarity Coalition
The Dublin Prison Solidarity Coalition is rooted in our commitment to address the needs and demands of survivors. Survivors have identified crucial demands that lie at the heart of our collective efforts:
end the use of solitary confinement, which has been used as retaliation against those who report sexual assault
confidential, community-based reporting
access to outside advocates
community-based healthcare + mental healthcare
release + reparations for survivors
safeguards against ICE detention + deportation
To achieve these goals, we uplift survivors’ voices and push for systemic change through:
visits, calls and correspondence with people in BOP custody
legal services for survivors
restorative justice processes for released survivors
advocacy to state and federal officials
testimony to government agencies and committees
civil litigation
public campaigns to pressure ICE to safeguard noncitizen survivors from detention and deportation
community education + mobilization
Who We Are
Formed in 2021, the Dublin Prison Solidarity Coalition is a partnership of people formerly at FCI Dublin and their supporters. Through our collective efforts, we aim to create a platform that amplifies the voices of survivors in order to uplift their demands and push government officials to enact systemic change.
